Clay Certifications are under construction
We've paused new certification submissions while we build the next version of the program. GTM engineering moves fast, and Clay Certifications must evolve in unison.

FAQ
GTM engineering and Clay are evolving quickly. We want to make sure the certification program keeps pace and that being Clay Certified continues to hold weight with employers, partners, and the broader community. We're using this time to rethink assessment design, skill validation, and what mastery looks like.
Your certification stands. Nothing changes. If you earned it, it's yours.
Hang tight. Join the waitlist and you'll be first to know when we reopen. Any submissions received before the pause are still being reviewed.
We don't have a specific date yet, but it will be soon. We'll share an update once we have a clearer timeline. Join the waitlist to make sure you hear about it.
The certifications program is paused for general applicants, but if you need a certification as part of becoming a Solutions Partner, the process is still open for you. Start by applying through the Solutions Partner application linked from our directory, where you'll get access to rubrics, evaluation guidelines, and submission links.
We're rethinking the full program structure, so the tracks may look different when we return. That's part of why we paused: we want to make sure the next version reflects where GTM engineering is headed, not just where it's been.
We'd love to hear from you. Contact Aly Slater, our certifications program lead, directly at aly.slater@clay.com - or share your thoughts when you sign up for the waitlist. We're building this with our community, not just for it.

No. Certifications are individual credentials. Our system verifies that you created the table you're submitting to make sure that it reflects your individual skills, not collaborative work or tables built by others.
There is no limit to the number of times you can resubmit!
You should be able to complete the requirements for the Outbound and Inbound Certifications without needing a paid plan. However, for the CRM enrichment plan, Pro features are required. If you do not have a Clay Pro Plan, please fill out this form to be granted temporary access to Pro features:

Certifications expire one year after they are issued to ensure that all earners demonstrate up-to-date Clay knowledge.
