Clay cohorts is the best place to start learning GTM engineering. It can be intimidating given how fast the tools are evolving, but the daily exercises are the best starting point and the community is incredibly supportive and engaged

FAQ

Currently, we don’t offer certifications for cohorts.

Multiple users belonging to the same Clay workspace can join as a team. However, credits are only issued once per workspace.

You'll receive the following emails:

  • A "Cohort Application Received" email (via Typeform) after submitting the application form
  • A "Clay 101 Application Accepted" email within 24 hours if your details are correct
  • In the week before the cohort starts:
    • A "Welcome to Clay 101 Cohort" email
    • An invitation to join the student portal via Softr

Also, you will automatically be added to the private cohort channel in the Clay Slack community

If you need to update the Clay Email or Clay Workspace ID you submitted in your application form, please contact Support (support@clay.com). Include both your original Email and Workspace ID, as well as the new ones you’d like to use.

To switch cohorts, submit the Cohort Application Update form. This can be done during a cohort or after it ends (if you haven't graduated).

While additional credits aren't normally offered for cohort purposes, you can open a support ticket to explain your case if you run out during your cohort.

For free accounts, credits earned during a cohort will expire at the end of each month. Plan your cohort applications accordingly. For paid accounts, refer to the info on this page.

Besides 1000 joining credits per workspace, students also get:

  • 3000 graduation credits for completing all assignments before the deadline
  • 500 credits per LinkedIn post about your cohort experience (must be posted during the cohort and submitted via the student portal)

Additionally, if you submit all assignments before the deadline, you will be added to the cohort-graduates channel in the community.

As a reminder, credits are issued only once per workspace.

Please Note: Clay reserves the right to change cohort perks without prior communication. The terms communicated during the cohort in the private channel are applicable.

If your Clay Workspace has received a trial extension and your trial is about to expire, contact Clay support for another extension. Time your requests so your trial doesn't end during your cohort.

The Clay Email you use must have access to the Clay Workspace ID you mention in the application form. You cannot use a Clay Email that doesn't have access to the Workspace ID you submit.

You must wait at least 24 hours after creating a new Clay account before submitting your cohort application.

Yes! This is done only once per workspace – and will be issued automatically the week before the cohort. Even if you have multiple users joining a cohort, the joining credits will remain the same.

  • In the Clay 101 cohort, there’s only one optional live meeting on the cohort start date at 12 PM ET (9 AM PT) – here’s **the Zoom link
  • The cohort is designed as an async experience and the idea behind the live meeting is to get to know you all better and answer broad questions about Clay and the cohorts program.
  • We do not record these meetings – we want you to be on camera and feel comfortable asking anything.

  • The assignment submission deadline is on the Wednesday after the cohort ends. Therefore, students get 2 full weeks to submit all assignments and receive the graduation perks.
  • If you’re unable to complete the assignments, you can switch to a future cohort by submitting the Cohort Application Update form. You progress will be saved.

Yes! All cohort communication takes place in a private channel in the Clay Slack community. You must join the community before submitting a cohort application.
