Finding accurate professional contact information can be a manual and time-consuming process. This workflow automates the discovery of work emails, social profiles, and job titles by leveraging multiple data providers and a waterfall enrichment process to ensure high-quality results.

Import and Prepare Data: Start by importing a CSV of executives and using a formula to combine first and last names into a full name column.
Identify Company Domains: Add a company domain enrichment to find the correct web address for each executive's organization.
Enrich Work Emails: Use the full name and company domain to query multiple providers and return the most accurate work email address.
Find Social Profiles and Titles: Layer additional enrichments to find social profile URLs and current job titles using the previously collected email and domain data.
Run and Verify: Execute the workflow on sample rows to see the waterfall system in action as it selects the best data from various sources.

Step 1: Import your CSV file

Getting started in Clay begins with creating a new workbook and bringing in your data. Once you're on the homepage, you can set up your workspace and import your list of contacts directly from a CSV file. This builds out your table automatically with the key fields you need.

Hit plus new and select workbook, then give it a title
On the left, click import CSV and drag your CSV file into the importer
Click complete import to finish loading your data

Once imported, your table will be built out with columns like first name, last name, and company, ready for enrichment.

Step 2: Enrich contacts with key data

With your data imported, the next step is to enrich each contact by generating a full name, finding the company domain, and pulling in key details like work email, social profile URL, and job title. Clay uses a waterfall of data providers in the background to find the most accurate results. Each enrichment is added as a new column in your table.

Use generate formula to combine first name and last name into a full name output
Hit add column, then add enrichment, and search for company domain — toggle on the company field and click save and run 10 rows
Add another enrichment and search for work email, then map full name, company domain, and company name before clicking save and run 10 rows
Add an enrichment for LinkedIn URL, using work email, full name, and company name as inputs, then click save and run 10 rows
Finally, add an enrichment for person job title, mapping work email, social profile, full name, and company domain, then click save and run 10 rows

Once all enrichments have run, your table will be populated with work emails, social profile URLs, and job titles for each contact in your list.

Step 3: Apply the template to your list

Once your enrichments have run and your table is fully populated, you can apply this exact setup to your own list using the built-in template. The template packages everything covered in this workflow so you can reuse it without rebuilding each enrichment from scratch.
