Finding accurate work email addresses manually can take hours of bouncing between different tools and databases. This template solves that problem by allowing you to find verified emails in seconds using only a name and company.

How it works

Import your list of contacts from a CSV file containing first names, last names, and company names.
Create a full-name formula and enrich the data to find the specific company domain for each contact.
Run the 'find work email' enrichment which automatically maps to the full name and domain fields.
Utilize Clay's waterfall process to search across multiple providers until a verified email is found.
Optionally add social profiles and current job titles to ensure your outreach is targeting the right person.

Once the process is complete, you walk away with a list of verified emails that you can export to a CSV or push directly to your CRM. You can reuse this template whenever you need to automate your lead research and outbound sales process.

Step 1: Import your CSV into Clay

The first step is to sign up or log in to Clay and create a new workbook. All you need to get started is a basic CSV containing three columns — no domain or social profile URL required. This is your starting point before Clay does the heavy lifting.

Use Import from CSV to bring your list into Clay

Once your CSV is imported, your three columns will appear in the workbook and you are ready to begin enriching your data.

Step 2: Enrich contacts with verified emails and profiles

With your contacts imported, Clay can automatically find verified work emails by combining the data points you already have. Before running the email enrichment, you need to prepare two required inputs: a full name column and a company domain column. Clay then waterfall searches across multiple providers so you are never locked into a single database.

Use Add Enrichment to find the company domain, mapping the input to your existing company column, and run
Use Add Enrichment again and select Find Work Email — Clay will automatically map full name, company, and domain to the correct fields
Add another enrichment column to pull each contact's social profile URL and current title, then hit Save and Run

Once enrichment runs, your workbook will contain verified emails, social profile URLs, and current titles — confirmed data pulled automatically without any manual searching.
