Before we begin

The early integration of Twain and Clay only allowed for a single outbound message. On top of that, it cost three credits for one message without a Twain API, and users had limited control over message length, tone, and additional instructions. 

‍

So we improved it. 

‍

Now you can create multi-step sequences (e.g., four-step introductions, email and LinkedIn follow-ups), with unique copy for each message to improve email deliverability, all for the same three credits as before.

First, copy this template in Clay.

Step 2:

Select a sequence template and customize prompt

Next, select a pre-defined 1-step, 2-step, 3-step, or 4-step sequence from the drop down. 

If you want to use a pre-built sequence from your own Twain account, select your Twain account and drop the sequence ID here instead.

Step 3: 

Insert lead info and run the table

To run the table, drop the first name, last name, and LinkedIn profile of your target prospects. 

If you don’t have LinkedIn profile URLs but you do have emails of your target prospects, you can use Claygent, Clay’s AI web researcher, to find LinkedIn profiles for you.

Step 4:

Map output fields 

Last, map Twain’s multi-step messages to your Clay columns.
