Beta program

Get early access to new Clay features through the Beta program, and see how to join, leave, and share feedback.

Overview

Clay's Beta program gives your workspace early access to features we'd like your feedback on, before they're fully launched. Workspace Admins can join or leave the program from workspace settings.

Beta features are on the cutting edge of Clay and may change significantly before full launch. Inside Clay, look for the Beta badge to spot them.

Joining the Beta program

To jump straight to the setting, go to app.clay.com/join-beta. It opens the Beta program section of workspace settings in the most recent workspace where you're an admin. You can also get there manually:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Workspace under Workspace settings in the left sidebar.
  2. Scroll to the Beta program section and click Join beta program.
  3. In the Enable beta features? dialog, click I'm in!.
    • Once your workspace is enrolled, a Beta badge appears next to the Beta program heading.
Note: Only Workspace Admins can join or leave the Beta program. If you don't see Workspace in your settings sidebar, ask a Workspace Admin to make the change for you.

Sharing feedback and hearing about launches

Beta program members can hear about new beta launches and share feedback in the Clay Slack community.

  1. Join the Clay Slack community.
  2. Hop into the #clay-beta-program channel.

Leaving the Beta program

  1. Go to Settings, then select Workspace under Workspace settings in the left sidebar.
  2. In the Beta program section, click Leave beta program.
  3. In the Disable beta features? dialog, click Leave.
Note: Leaving the program turns off beta features for your workspace, so existing tables that use beta features may no longer work as expected.

FAQs

Does joining apply to my whole workspace?

Yes. Enrollment is a workspace setting, so everyone in the workspace gets access to beta features once an admin joins.

How can I tell whether my workspace is already enrolled?

Open the Beta program section of workspace settings. An enrolled workspace shows This workspace is enrolled in our beta program and has early access to features. and a Leave beta program button.

Can I rejoin after leaving?

Yes. Click Join beta program again at any time to re-enroll your workspace. Leaving sticks until someone rejoins, so a workspace that opted out stays out.
