Legacy plans

Comparing legacy plans to our new plans

Overview

In March 2026, Clay introduced a new pricing model to give you more flexibility and value. The new model uses two simple usage meters: Actions (for running workflows and automations) and Data credits (for accessing data from our marketplace).

What this means for you: If you’re on a legacy plan and choose to stay on it, you'll keep your familiar pricing and all the features you have today. Several of the features we've built for modern plans are available on legacy Starter, Explorer, and Pro plans too, for a limited time. Think of it as try before you buy: you get real use of each one on your current plan, and moving to a modern plan is what makes it permanent.

Modern features on legacy plans

Legacy Starter, Explorer, and Pro plans include a set of features built for modern plans at no extra cost, through December 31, 2026. They're switched on for you, so there's nothing to set up.

Note: Legacy Enterprise plans are no longer sold, and existing legacy Enterprise workspaces are grandfathered indefinitely. Your plan and your feature access stay as they are, with no end date.

Once that period ends, these features are available on modern plans only. Moving to a Launch, Growth, or Enterprise plan keeps them permanently.

Here's what's included, and the level of access each legacy plan gets:

  • Audiences: Legacy Pro gets Growth-level access — unlimited Audiences storage, up to 250,000 CRM and data warehouse synced records, and daily syncs. Legacy Starter and Explorer get Launch-level access — unlimited Audiences storage, without CRM or data warehouse syncs.
  • Sequencer v2 via Audiences: Growth-level access on all legacy plans.
  • Workflows: Growth-level access on all legacy plans.
  • MCP, CLI, and API: Growth-level access on all legacy plans.

Clay Ads isn't part of this limited-time access — it stays a modern-plan feature.

What happens when the limited-time access ends

You keep your data and you keep your work — nothing is deleted, and everything you've built in Audiences stays where it is. Most of these features step down to their free-plan version rather than switching off.

You'll need a modern plan to:

  • Audiences: run signals and account agents, sync with a CRM or data warehouse, and send segments to ads
  • Sequencer v2 via Audiences: keep sending campaigns from Audiences, since there's no free-plan version of the sequencer
    • Table-based campaigns aren't part of this — campaigns you run from a Clay table keep working on legacy Explorer and Pro, because they come with those plans rather than with the limited-time access.
  • Workflows: lift the cap of 100 runs per workflow, keep more than one month of run history, and use the Run code node and the AI and code modes of the Conditional node

Everything else stays on your legacy plan: uploading records, building segments, opening your workflows, and MCP, CLI, and API at free-plan limits.

FAQs

How long will legacy plans be supported?

Legacy plans will be supported for the foreseeable future with bug fixes, security updates, and quality of life improvements. We may sunset legacy plans in the long term as they become a smaller part of our customer base.

Can legacy customers get new features if they pay extra?

There's no add-on that extends the limited-time access or unlocks Clay Ads on a legacy plan. Migrating to a modern plan is the way to keep these features long term and to pick up the ones legacy plans don't include.

What happens if a legacy customer changes their plan?

After April 10, 2026 11:59pm PDT, any plan change forces migration to modern plans. Legacy customers cannot switch between legacy plans or return to legacy plans once they leave.

Do legacy customers benefit from the 50% credit price reduction?

No. Only customers on modern plans see the data cost savings in-product. Rule of thumb: If you're charged for actions, you're on new pricing and see credit savings. If you're NOT charged for actions, you're on legacy pricing and do NOT see credit savings.

What's the difference between priority support on Growth vs. legacy Pro?

Legacy Pro plan economics (higher CPC, no action charges) cannot support the same level of priority support investment as modern Growth plans. Only modern Growth+ plans qualify for priority queue support.
